New Transmitter Hunt Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Date<\/u><\/strong>:  Sunday, August 1st<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time<\/u><\/strong>: Start 9:00am – End 1:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frequency<\/u><\/strong>: 146.565 MHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power<\/u><\/strong>: 1 Watt main transmitter \/ 15 mW micro transmitter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the transmitter sounds like<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main transmitter will be a musical series of tones. Followed by my call sign in Morse code<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The micro transmitter will be my call sign N0CFM repeatedly in Morse code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time of transmitter <\/u><\/strong>: 1.5 minutes on 3.5 minutes off. With ( hopefully ) the two transmitters not overlapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boundaries<\/u><\/strong>: The transmitters will be within the boundary lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North boundary: A line starting at the corner of US 287 and West Colorado Road 4 extending west to Lyons<\/p>\n\n\n\n

West boundary: Approximately US 36<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South boundary: Neva Road \/ Niwot Road<\/p>\n\n\n\n

East boundary: US 287<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing area is roughly 9 miles horizontal X 12 miles vertical. Roughly 108 square miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check in Repeater\/Frequency<\/u><\/strong>: 146.910 – (123.0) Gold Hill.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This repeater is for prehunt check ins as well as general communications during the hunt. Check ins will start 15 minutes before the hunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
